Los Angeles, CA, September 8, 2004 - The International Photography Awards (IPA) announced today the recipients of this year’s Lucie Awards. This tribute to the masters in photography will be held at the American
Airlines Theatre in New York on October 18, 2004.

Photographers, curators, gallery owners, collectors, and industry experts from around the world will be attending the Lucie Awards evening ceremony in at the American Airlines Theatre in New York. The ceremony will be held on October 18, 2004 from 7-9PM, followed by a dinner at the penthouse theatre lobby for those holding VIP tickets. All tickets to the ceremony are available now at lucieawards.com.
As esteemed photographer and 2003 Lucie Award recipient Douglas Kirkland claims, “The Movie Industry has its Oscars, now the Photography Community has its Lucies!”
The International Photography Awards’ mission is to salute the achievements of the world's finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography. 2004 will mark the second annual Lucie Awards ceremony.
