Comedian Barry Weintraub, one of New York City's most popular comic hosts and emcees will be hosting the seventh annual LUCIE awards at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall Monday October 19, at 8pm.

Weintraub, who has appeared on Comedy Central, Showtime, A&E, E! Entertainment Television, BBC-TV and has hosted radio and TV in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles is an equal opportunity offender known best for his crowd work and sharp political overtones.

The New York Post said Weintraub's "Timing and meter are reminiscent of Jerry Seinfeld." And Tim Goodman of the San Francisco Chronicle said Weintraub "Has real intelligence and real jokes."

While this is Weintraub's first turn at hosting the LUCIES, he has been a a writer and contributor in past years and looks forward to finally having his shot at hosting the preeminent photography award show live at Lincoln Center.
